Software quality engineer
Job description
The Software Quality Engineer is in charge of the verification and validation of software in the context of complex product developments. Based on his/her level of experience he/she will be working with a varying degree of independence. He/she will make best use of Oce software verification and validation working methodology in order to ensure that the delivered products have the correct functionality and appropriate level of quality. He/she remains in charge of the software quality over the product life cycle. He/she works in close cooperation with the Development Engineers that are in charge of the components that will be integrated in the final product, in order to ensure a smooth transition at software integration time. He/she is an open and proactive contributor to his/her team.
Major duties
- Elaborating test strategies and designing test cases for Oce software products
- Verification and validation of software developments
- Automation of test cases (HP Quick Test Pro)
- Ensuring software quality over the complete product life cycle
Prerequisites
Mandatory:- Bachelor or Master degree in technical field
- Experience with Windows SW environment
- OOP programming knowledge
- Good English
- Analytic skills and concision in written communication
- Working experience in software quality assurance (verification & validation)
- Background in software engineering in OO environments (RUP, UML, design patterns)
- Knowledge of software QA methodology (CMM, white-box and black-box testing, reviews, quality metrics)
